The way we do business, the support we need is different; and before anyone mansplains to me that this isn’t the case; I just want to say, I’ve been there and done it. I have sat in meetings with the largest banks, private equity and VC firms, government, family offices and I can tell you that of hundreds of meetings, I can count on one hand how many of those meetings had a woman on the other side of table, how can there not be a bias (even if it us an unconscious one). So I figure I need to put my money where my mouth is & start a fund alongside a host of incredible investors and team to support fast growing female-led businesses.
